When should you use mouth breathing?

When you feel you need more power—specifically, when you're performing your routine and you're really ramping up the intensity—you can use the mouth-to-mouth breathing technique. However, this breathing is only recommended for short periods of time, not for long periods, as it would exhaust you. This technique of breathing and exhaling through your mouth is very useful when you're on a short climb. And you'll feel like you're puffing! … Again, don't use it for too long, as you'll lose efficiency and end up feeling much more tired.

If you're doing controlled exercise, it's recommended to breathe through your nose. It doesn't require much strength and allows you to maintain balance throughout the entire physical activity process. This will allow you not only to have greater control but also greater calm when performing your exercise routines.

The good news is that breathing is something you can train just like any other muscle movement, but this only comes with practice. Remember, breathing will help you become more efficient in your sport.
